The Biloxi lugger, HUEY P. LONG, was built by master carpenter, Jules Galle in his shipyard in Biloxi. The vessel measured: length 43.3 feet, breadth 13.5 feet, depth 3.2 feet. It weighed 13.7 gross tons. HUEY P. LONG was purchased by Leonce “Bruce” Broussard in 1934 and was captained by him until 1946 when he sold the lugger.
