Built in 1951by Everett Arthur (in Handsboro, Mississippi) for Mike Sekul, the CAPTAIN BLOOD was a Biloxi Lugger with the following dimensions: length 50 feet, breadth 15 feet, depth 4.4 feet and weighed 27 tons. Known captains of the vessel include Frank Girouard, and Neville “Tejean” Broussard. CAPTAIN BLOOD led the famed Biloxi Blessing of the Fleet for many years.
