BOO'S DREAM

The 42-foot Biloxi lugger, BOO'S DREAM, was really a dream come true for Gerald Joseph “Boo Boo” Broussard. A fisherman for decades, Broussard finally got the opportunity to build his own fishing vessel at Covacevich Shipyard on the Back Bay. He began the construction in 1986, working twelve-hour days until it was finally completed in 1988. The wooden hull, single-rig commercial trawler was powered by a diesel engine. Broussard shrimped and oystered from BOO'S DREAM from 1998 until June of 2000.
