MARY ANN, a 35-foot wooden trawler was purchased by Henry Phillip Lemmler in 1948. Lemmler was an experienced captain of fishing vessels, working for the Mavar Shrimp & Oyster Company since the age of 17 and captaining many of their boats.
Lemmler worked the MARY ANN virtually alone until selling the boat in 1952.
