Biloxi Schooner Races History Repeats Itself on the
Famous Biloxi Schooners

 

    
     For a truly unique way of enjoying the Mississippi Gulf Coast. step on board an authentic replica of a Biloxi oyster schooner. These "White Winged Queens" once sailed the Coast from the late 1800's to the early 1900's; however the introduction of marine engines and the changes in oyster harvesting laws caused these beautiful crafts to disappear.

the "Mike Sekul"      The Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum has recaptured a piece of history in their two famous schooner, the "Glenn L. Swetman" and the "Mike Sekul". Available for day sailing or charter, the vessels can accommodate weddings, dockside parties, receptions, birthdays, or other special events. Special 2 hour educational trips are offered to school groups at special rates.

     The city of Biloxi traces its beginnings to the arrival of the French in 1699. The City takes great pride in letting visitors feast on its 300 year history.
